Here is a little bit about me.

My Name is Laurel Porter, I am an independent Hair Stylist located in Old Lyme. I am very passionate about all things Hair and Beauty. Driven by creativity and a strong desire to make every client who visits me look and feel their best. I am always striving to learn the newest techniques, products and latest styles to keep my clients up to date and always satisfied.

I began my journey as a Stylist in 1997 after graduating from Albert's School of Hair Design in Niantic, CT. I was lucky to find an wonderful team to join at Hair Trendz in East Lyme, CT. with an amazing mentor and friend Christi Laquitara (owner of Hair Trendz). I worked and grew as a stylist at Hair Trendz for 18 years before we decided to start a new venture as Independent Stylists. Christi re-opened Hair Trendz in Old Lyme, where I have joined her and others as independent stylist.

I pride myself in providing an enjoyable salon experience as well as allowing my artistic applications to reveal your hair's fullest potential. Come discover what I can design specially for you. **A few fun facts about me. Pink Hair is who I am, I am unsure if I will ever have natural looking hair. As well as my deep love for the Beauty industry, I am also very passionate about being a Mother to my amazing daughter, Izlynn. Izlynn and I have many of the same interests, Such as Reading, Art, Crafting, Music, and of course Marching Band. She is part of the East Lyme Viking Band and with that I have become an active member of the wonderful organization that is known as ELVB!!

My Husband races cars at local tracks, it is a hobby we both enjoy together.
